School Board

The St. Eugene School Board is an advisory board that helps shape the direction of our school. The board is made up of nine people, generally school parents, chosen from the St. Eugene community, as well as ex oficio members such as the pastor, principal, two faculty representatives, and a liaison from the Home and School Association.

Roles of the school board include public relations, budgeting, policy, and planning. School parents are invited to contact school board members if they have questions about any of these areas. Meetings are open if any parents wish to attend.

Three new members join the board each year, so school parents are encouraged to consider whether or not the school board would be a good fit for them. Members of the Board should have the following characteristics:
  1. a sense of the mission of the Church, school and our parish;
  2. creativity and energy;
  3. a willingness to make a commitment of time and talent;
  4. a willingness to listen to others' viewpoints; and
  5. the ability to relate to people and work as a team member.
